What to Know Before You Visit

Visiting a new church for the first time can be an intimidating adventure. We know. Many of us have been in your shoes before. We hope the following descriptions will shed some of the nervousness you may feel upon your first visit to First Brethren.

Where to Go

Main EntranceWhen you arrive, there are two entrances: one on the side of the church where you'll find the playground and another where you find the drive through canopy. The second is the main entrance and it would probably be most helpful to enter there on your first visit.

If you have children, you might check out the maps below to help you find the best place for them. You ALWAYS have the option to keep your children with you if you'd rather not leave them with our quality children's workers upon your first visit. Often, you won't be the only one with children in the service. You might check out our Children's Ministry pages to learn more about what you can expect with our excellent children's program.

If you arrive for Sunday school, there are a list of groups here. Our classes are grouped in various ways and are very good at welcoming visitors.

steps up or downIf you arrive for the worship service, you'll want to go UP the stairs. If stairs are a problem for you, there is an elevator located at the main entrance. One of our greeters would be happy to assist you if you need it. As you go upstairs, you'll notice the large double-door entryway. You can enter through there and find your way into the sanctuary. Sit anywhere you like! You won't take anyone's seat. There is a space provided for wheel chairs toward the middle of the seating area if this would pertain to you. As a general note, the front seats are usually vacant, so sitting somewhere toward the middle or back would probably be most comfortable for you.

Should you be interested in touring our facilities, you may stop by the church during the week during regular office hours and someone will be glad to show you around. Otherwise, you may check out our photo album. We've posted some pictures of our facilities there that might help better acquaint you before you arrive for the first time.
