Koinonia Cafe

What is Koinonia Cafe?

"I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in..." (Matthew 25:35).

Since 2004, our church has been offering the community a free hot meal every Thursday night.

The message of Jesus Christ was not to force people to submit to a set of rules, but to show them that God was indeed in love with them in practical sorts of ways. At Koinonia Café, we don't try to push Jesus on to people. We try to let them know that we love them and that Jesus loves them, by providing something practical: a fresh, hot meal.

The essence of the Greek word, koinonia, means heartfelt care and relationship for one another. That's what we try to provide: a relationship through our "daily bread."
