Prayer Partners
Prayer Partners is a program that has been pairing one adult and one child together during the school year since 2009. New partners are selected each year with the option for veterans to keep last year's partner if the relationship bond was strong.
Each month on a Wednesday night, partners get together at the beginning of the evening's small group time to pray for each other, share prayer concerns, and share praises of how they're seeing God at work in their life.
Partners are encouraged to send notes of encouragement, birthday cards, and make at least one phone call to each other a month if possible, but it's not required.
Each year begins with a kickoff party and ends with a seasonal party to celebrate what God's been doing through our relationships in the past several months.
This is a great opportunity for children (and some youth!) to build a relationship with an influential adult in their life. It's also an awesome opportunity for many adults to share their life with a child who is not family, but can soon become a close friend.
