At First Brethren, our goal is transformation. Everything we do as a church revolves around the mission we have as Christians to make disciples, to educate people to become better followers of Jesus--wherever they are on that journey. 

The journey of every Christian involves three key areas:

• Connecting with Christ and with others
• Growing in your walk with Jesus and in relationships with others
• Serving Christ as He has created you to serve as well as serving others

Becoming a Christian is not just a one time thing. It's a lifestyle. Because of this, we understand that not everyone is going to have everything figured out from day one. Many of our old habits will continue to wear us down, and someday, we might fin

d a way and a reason to change those habits. True transformation is a process, not an event. We don't expect people to be perfect, but we like to think that we're helping them get better and better at being the person that God wants us to be every step of the way.

Our Ministry Flow or Connect-Grow-Serve Model

Our Ministry Flow is geared to move regular people like you and me from a point of our first experience with God to a deep, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. This process includes discovering the ways that God has uniquely created us to connect to everyone else in our life. Part of this process involves helping each person spend one hour a week in worship of God, one hour a week in discipleship (or study about God), and one hour a week serving people. Below is a picture of how we visualize this process.

As you browse our website, look for the different ways you can join many of the rest of us in this journey of doing life together as followers of Christ. Below are a few of the opportunities available to you, but the list is not conclusive. More groups are often available depending on the time of year.
