Vision of the Bryan First Brethren Church

“The Vision of the Bryan First Brethren Church is to see a NEW DAY of transformed leadership resulting in a transformed congregation whose mission is the transformation of our community through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Change. Essentially radical change. Change that improves someone’s life. That’s what our vision is about.  We understand what it feels like to hit a plateau in your faith. We understand what churches that grow feel like too. We understand that our community is growing more and more away from church and that being a Christian is more a “thing to do” or a very personalized lifestyle than the lifeblood of a community as it used to be. We don’t necessarily like these things; we’ve decided to do something about it.

Our vision is first about helping people find excitement with their relationship with Jesus Christ either for the first time or to rekindle that old flame. Our vision is about getting excited as a community of believers and becoming a congregation that is alive in Christ. But the bottom line of our vision is about making a positive difference in our community, being active in making it a better place for everyone.

This is a great challenge and we know it’s nearly impossible to accomplish it without the power and wisdom of the Holy Spirit working through us.

This is our vision and we’re doing everything we can to see it become reality.
