Serving Through Volunteering
At First Brethren Church, we believe that service is one of the most powerful ways to live out our faith. Volunteering isn’t just about filling a role — it’s about making a difference, building relationships, and reflecting Christ’s love in everyday life. You do not need to be a Member to volunteer.
Ways to Serve Within the Church
- **Worship & Tech Team**
Help run sound, visuals, livestreams, or music — whether behind the scenes or on stage
- **Children & Youth Ministry**
Support our next generation through teaching, mentoring, or helping with events.
- **Hospitality & Greeting**
Welcome guests, prepare coffee, or serve meals during special gatherings.
- **Facilities & Grounds**
Assist with cleaning, maintenance, or seasonal landscaping to keep our church beautiful and functional.
- **Prayer & Care Team**
Visit shut-ins, pray for needs, or offer encouragement to those going through hard times.
- **Leadership Roles**
Members may be nominated to serve as Deacons, Board Members, or ministry leads — helping guide the church with wisdom and grace.
🌾 Serving in the Community
- **Local Outreach**
Partner with food banks, shelters, or schools to meet practical needs in Williams County.
- **Farm & Rural Support**
Offer help to neighbors during harvest, emergencies, or times of illness — a simple act of kindness goes a long way.
- **Events & Fundraisers**
Volunteer at community events, parades, or church-hosted gatherings that bring people together.
- **Faith in Action**
Share your gifts — whether it’s cooking, carpentry, organizing, or storytelling — to bless others and build bridges.
Whether you have one hour a week or a whole season to give, there’s a place for you to serve. Volunteering is how we grow together, care for one another, and shine God’s light in Bryan and beyond.
